Booking terms

For bookings made directly with Cocohut Zanzibar (website, WhatsApp or email). Last updated: 20 October 2026

Your booking

Your booking is with COCOHUT ZNZ LIMITED, Kendwa, Zanzibar, Tanzania.
Prices are per room for the whole stay, in US dollars, as shown when you book. They include all taxes and levies.
You receive a booking confirmation by email. Please check that your dates and details are correct.

Direct bookings are paid in full when you book, by card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) or mobile money, through our payment provider Pesapal. Your booking is confirmed once the payment is received.
Mobile money payments are made in Tanzanian shillings (TZS).
Extras such as airport transfers or laundry are paid on site.

Direct bookings: free cancellation until 3 days before your arrival date, with a full refund. The deadline is 23:59 Zanzibar time on that day. Example: arriving on 20 March, cancel by 17 March, 23:59.
To cancel, message us on WhatsApp or reply to your booking confirmation email.
Refunds go back to the original payment method. Card refunds can take 3–21 working days to show, depending on your bank; mobile money refunds usually take 1–3 days.
Cancellations after that, and no-shows, are not refunded. Bookings made less than 3 days before arrival cannot be cancelled free of charge.
Bookings made on Airbnb or Booking.com follow the cancellation policy shown on that platform.

Check-in is from 15:00, check-out by 11:00. We send you directions, your door code and a short video of the way in before you arrive.
Early arrival or late check-out: ask us, and we will help whenever the room is free.

Quiet hours are 22:00 to 07:00.
Smoking is allowed outdoors only.
Each booking can have up to 2 visitors. Overnight guests must be registered with us in advance.
Rooms are cleaned daily between 11:00 and 13:00. Hang the door hanger if you would like to skip it.
Laundry costs 1,000 TZS per piece.
Please treat the house and its furnishings with care. Damage beyond normal wear may be charged.
